This is the first chance I have had in quite a while to make any kind of entry. It's been a busy couple of weeks.
Earlier this week, we sold my old car and bought a new one all in the same day. It was a long and painful process and there is certainly a reason that I do that only once every 8 years or so. I was fortunate to find a buyer for my car, since it allowed us to get a little more for my car than we might have had we traded it in. The only thing that has been a hassle is that I could not find my title for anything. I thought that I had the correct document but my bubble was burst when the buyer and I went to her county tax office and tried to transfer the title. Since the car was in both my father's and my name, I had to get a copy of his driver's license and his siggy on a couple of documents. We should be all set to do it on Monday. So there has been a lot of running around after work every day this week, which has absolutely worn me out. I slept in by about 4 hours today. So, whatever you do, make sure that your title to your car is in your possession!
I also had my first baby shower last weekend! It was absolutely wonderful. My four busiest girlfriends got together and planned a great one for me. I got quite a few nice gifts; I have some very generous friends.
Last night, I had a striking baby anxiety dream last night. This one actually made me laugh. A and I were taking our baby home. Our little boy in a blue onesie was nestled in his carseat. I was carrying him in said carseat while I was puffing away on a cigarette. Then it occurred to me that perhaps he should have a blanket covering him since it was, in fact, November. This was pretty funny to me, given that I work in a cancer hospital. The one time I took a puff in college helped me decide smoking was not the way for me to go. Anyhoo, I know it is just more baby anxiety dreams, but found it entertaining that I was smoking in my dream.

With the new car and baby shower gifts, you are steps closer to being ready to meet your little one. (:
LOL at your dream. Next, you'll be boozing it too.
Happy 4th to you, and that's got to be exciting having your first shower :-) Your dream had me laughing! I actually had a dream the other night that my OB prescribed crack for me to smoke as a way to prevent preterm labor. I was a little surprised, but I spent the rest of my pregnancy at home on my couch smoking my crack! I've never tried any kind of drugs before, so it really made me go - what the heck kind of dream was that! Two pregnant nurses smoking cigarettes and crack in their dreams. We are quite the pair :-)
